Hi, I’m Patti!
I offer a gentle, nurturing, and non-judgmental presence for those navigating their wounds—past and present—and their questions about life, God, and self. Having grown up in a fundamentalist spiritual system, I carried the burden of perfectionism and fear, believing I had to earn God’s love. Today, it’s my joy to help others connect with the God who is already present, already attuned, and already madly in love with them.
I earned my B.S. in Theology and Biblical Counseling from Calvary University in Kansas City, MO. Though I’ve spent the past two decades untangling toxic theology, I remain grateful for the grounding in Scripture. In my 40s, I completed a 2-year cohort at Moody Bible Institute, earning certificates in Advanced Spiritual Formation and Advanced Spiritual Direction. That season marked a turning point, where my image of God shifted from distant and demanding to one of intimacy and grace.
In my 50s, through personal healing and the guidance of a Story-work Counselor, I completed Level 1 training in Narrative Focused Trauma Care at the Allender Center. This work helped me understand the patterns in my own story and equipped me to walk with others in theirs—recognizing trauma, listening to the body, and fostering healing from the inside out.
Today, I offer sacred space and practical tools for people to reconnect with their true selves and the God who dwells within. Few things bring me more joy (except maybe my granddaughter) than witnessing God meet people in their brokenness—and lead them into wholeness, safety, and a life of shalom.
It is my great delight and pleasure to provide a space where you can come as you are and feel safe to express your true thoughts, feelings, doubts, and desires and be met with love, acceptance, and empathy. I love to provide opportunities to invite Jesus into the hard places in our time together as well as send you home with spiritual practices and tools to “keep company with Jesus.” I am in continual awe of the way Jesus meets us and of His healing and transformative power, restoring and redeeming even the darkest places in our stories!

what to expect
your part
…. is simply to show up. You can share whatever’s on your mind, heart, or body—past experiences that still affect you, or present situations you're navigating. As trust builds, you’re invited to speak freely about your deepest thoughts, feelings, doubts, and desires, knowing you’ll be met with empathy from me and Jesus. You don’t need to prepare, but as you begin noticing your inner world more, jotting down reflections might help you bring meaningful insights into our time together.
My pART
…is to listen—with love to you and to the Holy Spirit. I aim to create a safe space where you can be honest with yourself, with me, and with God. As you share, I’ll listen for patterns and connections within your story, circumstances, and internal responses. I’ll gently reflect what I notice and offer tools, practices, and opportunities to connect to Jesus, who is already present in every aspect of your life. We’ll learn to recognize His voice, follow His invitations, and walk with Him—in work, rest, and play. I want to help you know God as He truly is, not as distorted images suggest. I also want to help you discover your true self—the one God designed before life’s wounds and survival strategies took over.
GOD’S pART
…is full of mystery, yet He is always working—drawing you, healing you, transforming you. He knows you completely and brings things to the surface at just the right time. He creates the curriculum for your growth and wholeness, choosing the lessons and methods best suited for your unique way of being. Though we can’t control Him, He always meets us with tender compassion. Even in silence or hiddenness, He is near—inviting you deeper, like a parent encouraging a child’s first steps. He delights in you, grieves with you, and never misunderstands your heart. While I can offer tools and insights, real healing happens as we make space for God. I remain in awe of Jesus’ power to restore and redeem, even the darkest places.
